Color Keys Piano ClubIn this club, students use software to learn to play the piano. The software starts with the most basic keyboard skills and progressively provides more advanced material. Many students enjoy the club enough to re-enroll semester after semester. While they learn, the students are provided with instant feedback on their playing and they even build a virtual trophy collection as they complete each mission.
The cost of tuition for piano club is currently $200 per semester. Checks can be made payable to Due West Elementary. While I continue to highly encourage all students to take piano lessons, this club is a comparatively cost effective way to supplement lessons or to give a student an introduction to piano playing. The tuition for piano club pays for our lease of laptops, keyboards and software. Club membership is limited to 20 students and to grades 3-5. |
ScheduleThe Piano Club will meet on Mondays from 2:30 - 3:20 PM in the keyboard lab.
Schedule: 8/30 9/13, 9/20 10/4, 10/11, 10/25 11/1, 11/8, 11/29 12/6, 12/13 Note: Piano Club will not meet on Labor Day, Fall Break, Conference Week, or Thanksgiving Break. Winter Schedule: January 10, 24, 31 February 7, 14, 28 March 14, 21, 28 April 12, 19, 26 PaymentChecks may be written to Due West Elementary School. Payments must be in envelopes labeled with the student's name, payment amount and "Piano Club" and placed into any of the school's "black boxes" by the student or parent. Teachers are not allowed to handle funds.
