The Due West Music Program

Each class attends music at an assigned time once each week for 45 minutes.

Each grade level will sing and play instruments regularly in music class. It will just look different as the students grow and learn during their 6 years with me. We start with singing games and simple instruments like drums and cowbells in Kindergarten. By 3rd grade, the students will be reading music on the treble clef staff and playing Ukuleles. By 5th Grade, students will be playing guitars and keyboards.

About Mr. Duff

I love teaching music at Due West Elementary! This is my 19th year as an elementary school music teacher. I have been at Due West since 2010. My daughter, Vivienne (9) is a 4th grade student here, so I am also a Due West parent. I also have a sweet 4 year old son named Ewan. My wife, Erin, is also a Cobb County teacher.

When I am not teaching, I enjoy playing instruments, mountain biking, and camping. I play the saxophone, piano, guitar and bass.
